Welcome to Flippers Swim School

The learning process is different for everyone, so we recommend 1 on 1 lessons rather than groups.  It takes on average about 10 lessons to learn the basics, dependent on what level you want to achieve as well.

  • Booking Procedure:

  • 30 minute 1 on 1 lesson costs R220

  • Group lessons (2 – 4 people) R120 per person – bring your friends we don’t organize the groups

  • You book a time slot and come every week at that time. (Twice a week is recommended for quicker progress, it makes a huge difference) lessons are booked per month. Payment in advance secures the booking.

  • We request a deposit of R400 which is refundable when you give notice you are stopping.

  • Stick to the time slot you are given, if you are late, we cannot accommodate you.

  • Spaces are limited, and our schedule is tight, missed lessons cannot be rescheduled and will be forfeited. Lessons are not transferable to other days.

  • We do not offer once off drop in lessons.  Learning to swim takes commitment and a regular schedule.

  • Accounts will be emailed and payment is expected before swimming starts.

  • We close for some public holidays and long weekends, but please check your invoice for the dates.

  • Please ensure the Consent form is filled in correctly.

  • Swimming caps must be worn by all swimmers, for hygiene reasons and to avoid hair in their eyes while swimming. I sell silicone caps for R60. For "big Hair" please look for Swimma Caps

  • Goggles are optional, helpful If you have an issue with having your face in the water – makes it easier to open your eyes and see what’s going on/ make it comfortable  😉 try them on in the store, must be soft and suck onto your eyes so no leaking.

  • Please be punctual for your lessons.  If you are late for a lesson, we cannot continue into the next lesson time as they have made the effort to arrive on time, or it may be a scheduled break, so avoid scheduling doctor’s appointments etc. on swimming days. Your progress at swimming will be affected by how often you attend lessons.  Lessons missed are forfeited.
